Query Builder for New Mexico Hospitalizations 1999-2014 - Count


The hospitalization data in this IBIS-Q query module have been derived from discharge summaries in participation with the New Mexico Hospital Association and the Health Policy Commission, and are maintained and provided by the New Mexico Department of Health, Bureau of Epidemiology and Response Division. They include all non-federal acute care inpatient hospitalizations in New Mexico. Causes were coded using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes. The population data in this IBIS-Q query module were produced by the University of New Mexico Bureau of Business and Economic Research and are considered the most accurate available for New Mexico. for New Mexico counties.

Getting Started

* Follow the steps to FILTER the data to a subpopulation (or leave the data unfiltered for statewide results), AND to select how to CLASSIFY variables, such as age and geography, that you want to use in the last step. * Use the last step, "How to display the data," to choose HOW TO GROUP your results and to make map and graph choices.
* When you are done selecting your query criteria, click "Submit" to get your query result.

Please note the HIDD data take a little longer to query than most because there are roughly 2,000,000 records with more than 100 elements of information. Please be patient.
  • First choose a coding scheme to use for diagnostic groups. Default is STIPDA Injury Cause.

  • Custom ICD-9 Queries

  • Place of Occurrence external causes of ED Visit, E849* E-Codes

  • First choose a coding scheme to use for Indicator groups. Default is all First Listed MDC groupings.

  • Select from list of intentions

  • First choose a coding scheme to use for procedure groups. Default is all NCHS 55 Procedure groupings.

  • Would you like to include only a single status? Default includes all.

  • Would you like to include only a single payer? Default includes all.

  • Would you like to include only speciality facilites? Default includes all.

  • What year grouping do you want to select? Default is single years, most recent year.

  • Select months.

  • First choose a coding scheme to use for age groups. Default is all 11 age-adjustment age groups.

  • Would you like to include only males or only females in the results? Default includes both sexes.

  • First choose a geography type. Default is all New Mexico counties.

The data and information provided through the NM-IBIS Query System are intended to support any individuals or entities engaged in activities designed solely to enhance the well-being of a specific community, which may include State of New Mexico. Allowed activities include informing evidence-based decision making in New Mexico to plan and improve health service delivery, evaluate health care interventions and systems, and inform health policy decisions.
