Query Results for New Mexico Estimated Population Counts by County - Age Dependency Ratio

Year Filter: 2018
Filter: DOHRacEth
Data Grouped By:County

The Age Dependency Ratio is the ratio of the combined dependent population (aged 0-14 and aged 65 and older) to the working population (aged 15-64), expressed as the number of dependents per 100 people of working age. Higher values indicate a greater level of age-related dependency in the population.

Population Estimates

All population estimates apply to July 1 of the selected year. Estimates include decimal fractions. The sum of population subgroup estimates may not exactly equal the overall state population estimate due to rounding error.

U.S. Data

Population data for the U.S. and other states may be found on the U.S. Census Bureau's AmericanFactfinder website [https://factfinder.census.gov/].
  • Population Estimates: University of New Mexico, Geospatial and Population Studies (GPS) Program, http://gps.unm.edu/. The Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) and the Geospatial and Population Studies (GPS) Program are both housed within the UNM Institute for Applied Research Services (IARS).
POPULATION ESTIMATES: Population estimate totals may vary due to rounding. These estimates are considered the most accurate estimates for the state of New Mexico and should match those found on the Bureau of Business and Economic Development website: www.unm.edu/~bber/demograp2.htm.

1990-2010 population estimates were re-calculated after the release of the 2010 census, so they will not match earlier estimates from UNM BBER.
