New Mexico Emergency Department (ED) Visits Data, Statewide All Visits 2010-2014 and 2008-2014 For Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) -- Configuration Selection

ED Visit Data

The emergency department (ED) visit data in this query module have been derived from data provided by individual non-federal EDs in New Mexico. The ED data for visits in 2010-14 are the most complete because all visits were reported. For 2008-forward EPHT Indicators, only selected diagnoses were reported as identified using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes found in any diagnosis field within the originating information system;

Asthma: 493.0 - 493.92.
Myocardial infarction: 410.0 - 410.92.
Heat-Stress conditions: 992.0 - 992.9.

Data Notice/Alert

{{class RedText Change to IBIS Cell Suppression Rule:[[br]] Beginning August 13, 2016, the cell suppression rule for NM-IBIS queries was strengthened. This was done to better protect the identity of individuals represented in the datasets. As a result, you may see more suppressed cells in your data result (indicated by "**" in the results table). If you need data that you cannot get in using NM-IBIS, please contact the program that manages the dataset (see contact information in the footer of this page). }}

Update to Population Data

{{class BlueText The 2010-2015 NM-IBIS population estimates have been revised. Adjustments were made to population estimates for years 2010-2015. These new estimates were applied as population denominators for calculating rates in all NM-IBIS query modules at 3:54PM on October 12th. This change to population estimates will result in changes to any rates calculated for 2010-2015 that you may have previously run. You will need to re-run any trend data using the new population estimates.}}
