Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey (YRRS) Configuration Selection

Overview

The Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey (YRRS) data in this IBIS-Q query module are collected by the New Mexico Department of Health (NM DOH) and the Public Education Department (PED), with assistance from the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (CHPDP), UNM, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This survey is conducted in the fall of odd-numbered years among public high school students (grades 9 - 12). The NM YRRS collects data on protective factors and risk behaviors that contribute to the leading causes of death, disability, and social problems among youth and adults. The NM YRRS also assesses changes over time and allows comparisons to national data and data collected by other states.
